98' markings and it has the early milled 'H' pattern front barrel band with milled trigger guard and floor plate all correctly proofed with a small 'Eagle/26' Waffenamt proof. The receiver side wall still has the block 'Mod.
The top of the receiver is stamped 'ar / 41' with an eagle firing proof and serial number on the left side and three early 'Eagle/26' Waffenamt proofs on the right side.
This is a standard early WWII K98 rifle as produced by the Mauser-Werkes factory in Borsigwalde outside Berlin as issued to the German Luftwaffe.
